How To Never Get Dry Hair Again
Dry hair can be such a bother to deal with! This is one of the main reasons why a lot of girls prefer hair extensions, which are hassle-free and always ready to wear. Regardless, it's still important to keep your natural hair healthy and well-nourished for best results. That means doing things to combat frizz and dryness, of all things.
Here are some dos and don'ts on how to never get dry hair again!
Do shampoo your hair a few times a week
Shampooing is a must to keep your hair clean of course, but you shouldn't overdo it! Shampoo can strip away your hair's much-needed moisture, leaving you with dry and limp hair. How many times you should shampoo depends on your hair type; for example, if you have curly hair, you can get away with just shampooing once a week.
Don't use heat on your hair
Heat is your hair's biggest enemy. Too much heat can damage your hair, turning it dull and lifeless in no time at all. Even though sometimes using heat is inevitable, you should still try to avoid using heat as much as you can.
Do use conditioner whenever you can
A conditioner is your best bet to getting soft, manageable hair, so this is a must when it comes to your healthy hair regimen! Think of it like a soothing lotion that makes your skin softer and smoother after your bath. For best results, you can even use deep-conditioner once a week.
Don't go overboard with your conditioner
Even though conditioner is generally good, there is such a thing as too much conditioner. I've experienced that myself when I got too addicted to using a conditioner without using a shampoo. Hair that gets too much conditioner feels greasy and not at all good! You know what they say, too much is never a good thing.
Do eat healthy food
You can't rely on just outside nourishment for your hair if you want to avoid getting dry hair. You also have to include healthy food in your diet, such as food rich in Omega-3, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C. True beauty comes from within, so eat healthy and you'll get healthy hair in no time at all!
Don't forget your daily hair care regimen
Maintaining some form of daily hair care regimen is extremely important for healthy, well-nourished hair. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, but make sure you can stick to it on a regular basis. Just like your skin, your hair needs to be cared for daily in order for you to see optimum results.
