How To Beat Humidity
Does your hair seem to get worse whenever the humid weather kicks in? Does it become 10x frizzier and more haggard-looking during this time? Don't fret, we're here to the rescue!
In today's article, we've included some tips on how to beat humidity regardless of the season!
1. Use lightweight shampoo and conditioner
The first thing you have to do is to start your hair routine right. Remember, products that weigh heavy on your hair can worsen your hair's condition in humid weather.
That's why it's best to use lightweight products, such as hydrating or clarifying shampoo and conditioner. These products can help reduce and even avoid frizz completely, letting you beat humidity right from the start.
2. Airdry instead of using heat
We've said it time and time and again: heat is your hair's biggest enemy. It strips your hair of moisture and makes it more at risk of getting dehydrated.
Of course, dry hair and humidity don't mix well, so it's highly important to avoid drying out your hair in the first place. After your shower, skip the blowdryer and opt instead to just airdry your hair. Not only can you save a bit on electricity bills, you're also giving your strands their much-needed rest from all the unnecessary heat.

3. Use a little serum
Serums are certainly heaven-sent for gals like us who always have to deal with pesky hair issues. While we would all love to get naturally gorgeous hair straight out of bed, sometimes a little help is required in the form of hair products, too.
In this case, you can use a little serum on the ends of your strands to help tame your frizz and flyaways. Work your way up from the ends, taking care not to put any product on the roots. Applying serum on your roots can cause your hair to become too oily or greasy.

4. Spray on some heat protectant
Given that heat is such a huge enemy for your strands, it's an absolute must to use a product that can protect your hair from the heat.
This is where heat protectants come in. Not only do they protect your strands from the harsh rays of the sun, but they can also help soften your hair, making it more manageable. Simply apply some product to your strands and comb through with your fingers.
5. Set your hair with hairspray
You can curb some of the bad effects of humidity on your crowning glory by setting your hair with hairspray at the end of your hair routine. It's not exactly a remedy, per se, but at least it helps you avoid any additional frizz.
