Air Drying Hair Tips
Styling your tape extensions can be a daunting thought. If you're used to doing your hair with a straightener, blow dryer or curler almost everyday, you may not like the idea of leaving your hair to air dry! That's why we have put together a list of our favourite air drying hair tips so you can style your hair to perfection, without the damage.
Air Drying Hair Tips
Over styling tape extensions with heat can cause damage over time so we love these air drying hair tips to keep your tapes as healthy as possible, for as long as possible.
ZALA's Revive Me Hair Treatment
This is a must have product for any girl. If you are worried about frizz when air drying, we cannot recommend this product more. It has been specially formulated to reduce all frizziness and adds shine to your hair. Simply spray a small amount into the palm of your hands and run though your hair when wet. Towel Time
If you're used to roughing your hair up with a towel, it's time to stop! This can create frizziness and make your hair dry and brittle when air drying. Instead, try gently pressing smaller sections of your hair between two sides of the towel. This will remove moisture without adding frizz. We also love microfibre towels! Normal cotton towels can be rough on your hair cuticles and we therefore recommend a microfibre towel to avoid ongoing damage. This will also help with air drying by preventing friction with the hair cuticle.
The Twist Technique
This is the ultimate, no fuss technique for relaxed 'French girl' waves. Once your hair has partly dried, take small sections of your hair and twist them into tight curls by twirling the ends with your fingers. This will remove excess water and speed up drying time as well as creating beautiful effortless waves.
Braiding
Braiding is an amazing way to create cool, beach babe waves without damaging heated tools. For looser, more relaxed waves we recommend parting your hair into four larger braids and ensuring they are not braided to tight. For tighter curls, we recommend doing more smaller braids your hair, ensuring they are braided slightly tighter.
