A Guide To Getting Shiny Hair
uller, Do you want to get shiny hair?
We're willing to bet that most people do. Heck, even we do. Nobody is immune to the charms of sleek, shiny, and silky smooth hair, after all.
If this sounds like you, then here's exactly what you need: a guide to getting shiny hair!
1. Massage your scalp with Vitamin E
Vitamin E is one of the vitamins that are responsible for healthy hair growth. By massaging it straight onto your scalp, you're actually helping your scalp and roots grow stronger and stay more hydrated. If you're stumped on when you can get Vitamin E, it's actually pretty easy! You can buy soft-gel capsules at any drug store and cut them in the middle to get the liquid out. Apply it on your scalp and gently massage to get shiny hair in no time!
2. Eat healthy
The way you eat has a huge impact on your health, and your health has a huge impact on your hair. If you're unhealthy, your hair will also show signs of being unhealthy. That means it will be duller, more dry, and of course, less shiny. Unhealthy hair is also prone to breakage so unless you want to get lots of split-ends, you better start adding greens to your daily meal plan.
3. Use leave-in conditioners
Leave-in conditioners are there to provide more moisture and hydration to your hair after your shower. Even when you're up and about, your leave-in conditioner is locking in all the necessary that your hair needs to look shiny and silky. Use one as often as you wash your hair, since leave-in conditioners are normally used after a bath, anyway.
4. Switch up your hair color
Your hair color can also contribute greatly to how shiny your hair looks. Hair color that's flat, for example, can also make your own hair look really flat, especially if your hair is straight and thin! You can easily remedy this by using highlights if you've got dark hair, or lowlights if you've got light hair. The contrast does wonders for your hair, we're telling you.
5. Use flat iron
We're not a huge fan of heat so this is going low on the priority list, but we have to admit that using a hair straightener does help make your hair look shinier, especially if you've got hair that's always frizzy and dry. That's because newly straightened hair tends to reflect light better, which makes it look much shinier than it actually is. So if you need to get shiny hair ASAP, a flat iron is probably your best bet.
